“U Are the Universe” will be screened at the 24th Fantastic Film Festival in Switzerland

The screening of the film by Ukrainian director Pavlo Ostrikov, “U Are the Universe,” will take place at the 24th Festival International du Film Fantastique de Neuchâtel (NIFFF Tofifest Film Festival) in Neuchâtel, Switzerland.

This was announced by the Ukrainian State Film Agency on Facebook.

The annual international fantastic film festival, running from July 4 to 12 in Neuchâtel, combines genre experiments, Asian cinema, and digital art, balancing auteur approaches with pop culture.

The festival is unique for its bold program, open-air screenings, and focus on new forms of cinema that blur the boundaries between reality and imagination.

On July 6, 9, and 12, within the International Competition section, the Swiss premiere of “U Are the Universe” will take place.

The story centers on Ukrainian space trucker Andriy, who transports nuclear waste from Earth to a satellite of Jupiter. After an unexpected explosion destroys Earth and its debris annihilates everything around, he remains the last person in the Universe. Suddenly, he receives a message from a French woman, Catherine, who needs help.

The film was produced with support from the Ukrainian State Film Agency by ForeFilms in collaboration with Belgium.

The film is set for Ukrainian theatrical release on November 20, 2025.
