Ukrainian ports have handled 35 million tons of cargo since the beginning of the current year, of which more than 19 million tons are grain.

This was stated at a forum by the head of the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority, Mykola Kravchuk.

“Today, no global logistics market operates under the conditions in which Ukrainian ports function. Constant missile and drone attacks, prolonged air raid alerts, damaged infrastructure, and risks to shipping and personnel — this is the operational reality in which the maritime industry has been living for the fourth year,” he wrote on Facebook.

Mykola Kravchuk noted that this year alone, the number of drone attacks on port infrastructure has increased more than tenfold compared to last year.

“In fact, the ports were shelled every other day. Therefore, the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority is consistently strengthening the protection of port infrastructure,” he concluded.
