On the night of February 27 (from 18:00 on February 26), the Russian forces attacked with 187 strike UAVs — Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas types, as well as other types of drones — launched from the directions of Bryansk, Oryol, Shatalovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), and Hvardiiske (occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea). About 120 of them were Shahed drones.
The air assault was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data as of 08:30, air defense shot down or suppressed 165 UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other types in the north, south, and east of the country.
Hits by 20 strike UAVs were recorded at 14 locations.
