Russia struck with 11 Iskander-M missiles and nearly 150 drones

On the night of February 9 (starting 17:30 on February 8), the Russian forces launched 11 Iskander-M ballistic missiles from Russia’s Bryansk region, as well as 149 strike drones, including Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas types, along with other drones, from the directions of Kursk, Orel, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Shatalovo – Russia, as well as occupied Donetsk and Hvardiiske in Crimea. About 90 of these were Shahed drones.

The attack was intercepted by Ukrainian aviation, surface-to-air missile units, electronic warfare and drone units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces.

As of 09:30, Ukraine’s air defenses had shot down or suppressed 116 drones of Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other types.

Some of the Iskander-M ballistic missiles were also intercepted and did not reach their targets.

Impacts from missiles and 23 strike drones were recorded at 15 locations, and debris from downed drones fell at 6 other locations.
