Russia attacked Kharkiv 24 times overnight

During a combined strike on Ukraine, Russia launched a massive attack on Kharkiv, striking the city 24 times.

According to Mayor Ihor Terekhov and the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, on Telegram:

“As of now, according to information from our Situation Center, Kharkiv was attacked 24 times overnight—14 times by enemy UAVs and 10 times by missiles,” said Terekhov.

After 1:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 24, reports emerged of missile launches toward Kharkiv, including ballistic missiles from the east. The mayor immediately reported a missile attack, and repeated explosions were heard in the city.

After 2:00 a.m., the Russian army carried out seven strikes on Kharkiv. One of the strikes hit the Novobavarskyi district, where windows were blown out in nearby apartment buildings.

An hour later, Kharkiv was attacked by drones. At least six explosions were heard in the city as drones targeted it for about half an hour. At least 11 explosions were heard during the drone attack.

The total number of strikes on Kharkiv then rose to 24 (10 missile and 14 kamikaze drone attacks). The attack damaged an industrial facility, as well as residential apartment blocks and private houses.

By morning, two people were reported injured in Kharkiv.
