Since the beginning of the full-scale war, 1,431 people have been injured by enemy mines and explosive remnants of war, including 147 children.

This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate for Mine Action, Civil Protection, and Environmental Safety.

“As of April 1, 2026, since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, 1,431 people have been affected by enemy mines and explosive remnants of war, including 147 children and 1,284 adults,” the statement says.

It is noted that those most affected by explosive objects include: farmers — 260 people; unemployed — 165; pensioners — 141; critical infrastructure workers — 144; drivers — 91; and students — 139.

The press service also emphasized that Ukrainian law enforcement agencies are opening criminal proceedings over each incident of civilians being injured by Russian mines, as violations by the Russian Federation of the laws and customs of war. A dedicated database and interactive map help government and humanitarian organizations raise awareness in dangerous regions about the risks associated with explosive objects and provide assistance to victims of mine-related injuries.
