Hundreds of strikes across Ukraine, civilian casualties reported in several regions

Russian forces carried out widespread attacks across several regions of Ukraine over the past 24 hours, with civilian casualties reported in Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Kharkiv, Sumy, Donetsk, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

In the Zaporizhzhia region, according to the head of the Regional Military Administration Ivan Fedorov, Russian forces launched 887 strikes on 47 settlements. Nineteen people were injured in attacks on Zaporizhzhia city and surrounding areas. Officials reported 24 air strikes, 642 drone attacks—mainly FPV drones—five MLRS strikes, and 216 artillery strikes. Authorities also recorded 71 reports of damage to homes, vehicles, and infrastructure.

In the Kherson region, governor Oleksandr Prokudin reported that 25 civilians were injured over the past day amid continued drone and artillery attacks on 49 settlements, including Kherson city. Residential buildings, a cathedral, mobile communication towers, fuel stations, and transport infrastructure were damaged. Additional injuries were later reported in Chornobaivka, including concussions and traumatic brain injuries among local residents.

 

 

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, Russian forces carried out drone and artillery attacks from the evening of June 19, targeting several districts including Samarske, Nikopol, and Kryvyi Rih districts. Infrastructure damage was reported in all affected areas.

In the Sumy region, police reported 13 civilians injured as a result of Russian attacks across multiple communities, including strikes involving guided aerial bombs and drones in Biloipillia, Hlukhiv, Trostianets, Putyvl, and Berizivka communities. Residential buildings, vehicles, and infrastructure were damaged.

 

 

In the city of Sumy, acting mayor Artem Kobzar reported an overnight strike in the Kovpakivskyi district, which damaged apartment buildings and vehicles. No casualties were reported. Officials said the impact near trees helped reduce the severity of damage.

In the Donetsk region, authorities reported that three civilians were killed and 13 injured over the past day. According to regional governor Vadym Filashkin, the fatalities occurred in Kramatorsk. Officials noted that the figures do not include Mariupol and Volnovakha.

In the Kharkiv region, governor Oleh Syniehubov reported strikes on Kharkiv city and 11 settlements. Two people were killed and 13 injured, including four children. Authorities said Russian forces used drones, guided aerial bombs, and FPV systems. Damage was reported across residential buildings, warehouses, and industrial facilities in multiple districts.
