Russian attacks across several Ukrainian regions killed at least one person and injured 48 others over the past day, with the largest number of casualties reported in Zaporizhzhia region.
In Zaporizhzhia region, 34 people were injured in attacks on Zaporizhzhia and the surrounding district. Russian forces carried out 724 strikes against 56 settlements, including 28 air strikes, 547 drone attacks — predominantly using FPV drones — seven strikes from multiple-launch rocket systems and 142 artillery attacks.
Regional authorities received 104 reports of damage to infrastructure, homes and vehicles.
In Donetsk region, one person was killed in Kramatorsk on September 28. Six others were injured across the region: two in Kramatorsk, two in Bilenke, one in Sloviansk and one in Mykolaivka.
Four people were injured in Sumy region, where Russian forces attacked 24 settlements using guided aerial bombs, mortars and different types of drones. A 52-year-old man was injured in the Seredyna-Buda community, two men aged 46 and 23 were hurt in a drone strike in the Krolevets community, and a 37-year-old woman was wounded in the Novoslobidska community.
The attacks in Sumy region damaged residential buildings, civilian infrastructure, vehicles and business property. A locomotive and railway tracks were also damaged in the Krolevets community.
Two people were injured in Kherson region, where Kherson and around 30 other settlements came under Russian air strikes, drone attacks and artillery fire. Two private homes were damaged.
In Kyiv region, two people were rescued from the rubble of a private house in the Bucha district following a Russian attack on the evening of September 28. Both were hospitalised with head injuries, while one also suffered a fractured collarbone.
A total of 22 sites were damaged across five districts of Kyiv region, including private and apartment buildings, vehicles, warehouses, a cafe, an inactive farm and business property.
Russian attacks also targeted transport and energy infrastructure elsewhere in the country. In Vinnytsia region, a railway infrastructure facility was hit, leaving more than 15,000 consumers without electricity. No casualties were reported.
In Zhytomyr region, Russian forces carried out around ten strikes on civilian infrastructure between the evening of September 28 and the morning of September 29. Transport and fuel infrastructure and civilian businesses in Zhytomyr, Korosten, Zviahel and Ovruch were among the targets. No deaths or injuries were reported.
Emergency services were working at the sites of strikes and falling drone debris, while authorities continued to assess the extent of the damage.
