Production of grains and leguminous crops in Ukraine in 2025 showed an 8.2% increase compared to 2024, reaching 61.0 million tons, according to the State Statistics Service.
In the structure of the harvest, corn traditionally dominated with 30.9 million tons, followed by wheat, with a harvest of 23.3 million tons. The highest gross yields were achieved by farmers in the Chernihiv, Vinnytsia, and Khmelnytskyi regions.
In contrast, the technical crops segment showed a negative trend: sugar beet harvest decreased by 8.7%, and sunflower production fell by 7.0%.
According to the agency’s calculations, the published infographic indicates that total grain production in 2025 amounted to 61.045 million tons. This result is 8.2% higher than in 2024 and 0.5% higher than in 2023.
A different situation is observed for sugar beet, the harvest of which fell to 11.689 million tons, which is 8.7% less than in 2024 and 11.3% lower than the 2023 harvest (13.176 million tons).
A similarly noticeable decline is seen in sunflower production, which dropped to 10.24 million tons. This figure is 7% lower than in 2024 and 20.5% lower than in 2023, when 12.878 million tons were recorded.
