The European Congress of Ukrainians (ECU) has established a new specialized body — the Commission on Strategic Issues — which will focus on modelling the organization’s long-term development trajectory and strengthening its advocacy capacity at the pan-European level.
This was reported on the Facebook page of the European Congress of Ukrainians (ECU).
The head of the newly created Commission on Strategic Issues has been appointed as well-known public figure Teona Kakhiani.
It is reported that the working body will operate in continuous and close cooperation with the ECU Board, member associations, and other internal analytical structures of the Congress.
The main strategic areas of the Commission’s activity include:
- comprehensive development of an updated mission, vision, and key priorities of the ECU
- preparation of practical tools and roadmaps for effective advocacy in support of the Ukrainian diaspora abroad
- systematic analysis of the political systems of European countries
- formation of an extensive network of active contacts and a pool of expert specialists across various European states
- development of comprehensive recommendations for the institutional development of the organization
The introduction of this mechanism is intended to help the ECU respond more effectively to geopolitical challenges and systematically promote Ukrainian narratives within European institutions.
