Kyiv region was visited by the European Union Ambassador to Ukraine, Katarína Mathernová, the head of the regional representation of the European Investment Bank in Eastern European countries, Kristina Mikulova, and representatives of the diplomatic corps of EU member states, including Poland, Latvia, Finland, Estonia, and others, according to the Kyiv Regional Military Administration.
The international delegation, which arrived on the symbolic Unity Train, was met at Fastiv railway station by the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Mykola Kalashnyk, the administration said on its website.
“During the visit, we toured the legendary Wagon of Unification — a place where more than a hundred years ago the foundation of Ukraine’s unity was laid. It is here that one can especially feel how important unity, freedom, and independence are for us,” Mykola Kalashnyk said.
The head of the Kyiv regional administration also showed the international partners the Fastiv railway station, which was damaged as a result of a Russian attack.
