The Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) has updated its rankings as of May 18, reflecting strong gains for Ukrainian players following recent tournament successes.
Ukraine’s top-ranked player Elina Svitolina climbed to 7th place in the world, moving up three positions after winning the WTA 1000 title in Rome. The victory marked one of the biggest achievements of her season and significantly boosted her ranking.

Marta Kostyuk held steady at No. 15, maintaining her position among the world’s top players. Dayana Yastremska also made a notable jump, rising seven places to No. 45 after winning the WTA 125 tournament in Parma.
Several other Ukrainian players remain inside the top 100. Yuliia Starodubtseva is ranked No. 54 (+3), Oleksandra Oliynykova is No. 66 (+2), Angelina Kalinina is No. 84 (+9), and Daria Snigur sits at No. 95.
