Ukraine’s Defence Intelligence has identified the geography of aviation fuel supplies to Russia and maritime logistics schemes involving tankers from Russia’s shadow fleet.
Systematic strikes by Ukraine’s Defence Forces on Russia’s oil refining network have led to a significant reduction in the production of aviation kerosene in Russia.
Due to shortages of domestic resources, Russia has officially introduced a temporary ban on exports of its own aviation fuel and has been forced to import foreign Jet A-1 fuel, which can be used by Russian military aircraft and strike drones, Defence Intelligence said.
Ukrainian intelligence has identified the geography of these supplies and logistics schemes involving tankers from Russia’s shadow fleet.
Three such vessels have already delivered 70,000 tonnes of Jet A-1 from South Korea and Egypt to Russian ports.
In particular, the ASTORIA transported nearly 11,000 tonnes of aviation fuel from Ulsan to Vladivostok, while the HANNA and CAPIBARA delivered almost 59,000 tonnes from the Egyptian port of El Dekheila to St. Petersburg.
Defence Intelligence has also published details of the supply schemes, vessels, companies and individuals involved in importing aviation fuel for Russia.
