According to British intelligence estimates, the total losses of the Russian army since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine amount to around 1,118,000 personnel, including about 332,000 soldiers lost in 2025 alone.
The UK Ministry of Defence reported this on social network X.
Analysts note that, according to Ukraine’s General Staff, Russia’s average daily losses in September 2025 amounted to 950 personnel, marking a moderate increase compared to August. In September, the Russian army recorded its lowest average daily losses since April 2024.
British intelligence also highlighted that the recorded level of Russian losses decreased between March and August 2025 but began rising steadily in October, exceeding 1,000 personnel per day between October 5 and 12.
