On the night of March 12 (starting from 18:00 on March 11), the Russian forces launched an attack using 94 strike UAVs, including Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other types of drones, from the directions of Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, and Hvardiiske in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea. More than 60 of them were Shahed drones.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data as of 09:00, air defense shot down or suppressed 77 UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other types in the north, south, and east of the country.
Hits by 16 strike UAVs were recorded at 11 locations, as well as the fall of downed drones (debris) at one location.
