On the night of October 7 (from 18:00 on October 6), the Russian forces attacked with two Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles from the Rostov region of Russia, 152 strike drones of the Shahed, Gerbera types, and other drones from the directions of Oryol, Kursk, Shatalovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk – Russia, and Chauda (occupied Crimea), about 80 of them being Shaheds.
The air assault was intercepted by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units and drone systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data as of 09:00, air defense shot down/suppressed 88 drones of the Shahed, Gerbera, and other types in the north and east of the country.
Impacts were recorded from two missiles and 52 strike drones at 10 locations, as well as debris from downed drones at 2 locations.
