On the night of April 29 (starting from 18:00 on April 28), the Russian forces attacked with 171 strike UAVs, including Shahed-type drones (including jet-powered ones), Gerbera, Italmass, and other types of drones, launched from the directions of Kursk, Shatalovo, Oryol, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), as well as from the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk, Hvardiiske, and Chauda in the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea. About 120 of them were “Shaheds.”
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data, as of 08:00, air defense shot down or suppressed 154 UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmass types and other drones in the north, south, and east of the country.
Hits by 12 strike UAVs were recorded at 10 locations, as well as the crash of downed drones (debris) at 12 locations.
