On the night of March 2 (from 6:30 p.m. on March 1), the Russian forces attacked with 94 strike UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas types, as well as drones of other types, launched from the directions of Oryol, Millerovo, Shatalovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russian Federation), and Hvardiiske in the occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea. About 70 of them were Shahed drones.
The air assault was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units and unmanned systems units, as well as mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data as of 8:00 a.m., air defense forces shot down or suppressed 84 UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas types, as well as other drones, in the north, south, and east of the country.
Ten strike UAVs hit targets at four locations, and debris from downed drones fell at two locations.
