During the night of February 8 (from 18:00 on February 7), the Russian forces attacked with 101 strike UAVs — Shahed, Gerbera, Italmus, and drones of other types — launched from the directions of Kursk, Orel, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and Shatalovo in the Russian Federation; about 70 of them were Shahed drones.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units and unmanned systems units, as well as mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data as of 08:30, air defense forces shot down or suppressed 69 UAVs — Shahed, Gerbera, Italmus, and other types of drones — over the northern, southern, and eastern regions of the country.
Hits by 32 strike UAVs were recorded at 13 locations, and falling debris was reported at one location.
