The volume of agricultural production in Ukraine in January–April 2026 increased by 1.7% compared to the same period last year.
In January–March, the figure stood at 1.2%, according to the State Statistics Service.
The agency notes that calculations of the agricultural production index from the beginning of the year through May are based only on livestock production data, while crop production indicators are taken into account starting in June.
The industrial livestock sector increased production volumes by 10.5%, while household farms reduced theirs by 15.7%.
The largest decline in agricultural production compared to the previous year was recorded in Donetsk (-49.9%) and Zakarpattia (-29.5%) regions. The highest growth rates were observed in Lviv (+12.5%), Kyiv (+11.6%), and Dnipropetrovsk (+10.1%) regions.
