Ukrainian high jumper Yaroslava Mahuchikh has made her first appearance in three weeks, competing at the FBK Games 2026 in the Netherlands.
The competition was her second of the summer season after the Diamond League stage in Rabat (Morocco), where Mahuchikh won with a result of 1.97 meters, Ukrinform reports.
Her next start was a Gold-level Continental Tour event in Hengelo.
Mahuchikh began the competition at a height of 1.91 meters, which she cleared on her second attempt. At that height, only one competitor remained in the field with her — Cuban athlete Dailis Brison, who cleared it on her third attempt.
After that, the Ukrainian cleared 1.94 meters on her second attempt, while the Cuban failed at that height. Already secured as the winner, Mahuchikh attempted 2.00 meters but failed to clear the height in three attempts.
Mahuchikh last competed at the FBK Games in 2023, when she also won with a 2.00-meter jump, while the silver medal then went to another Ukrainian athlete, Iryna Herashchenko.
With this victory, Mahuchikh extended her winning streak in the 2026 season to six starts, including indoor results. Her best jump in 2026 so far is 2.03 meters, achieved at the Demyanyuk Memorial in Lviv, which is the world’s best result of the season.
After the competition in the Netherlands, Mahuchikh is scheduled to compete at the Gold-level Continental Tour meeting in Zagreb (Croatia) on Wednesday, June 24.
