Widespread Russian missile and drone attacks hit Ukraine

Russia launched a new wave of missile and drone attacks across several Ukrainian regions overnight, damaging residential buildings, industrial facilities, and infrastructure, and leaving civilians dead and injured.

Kyiv

In the capital, Russian forces targeted the city with missiles and drones, according to Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

In the Darnytskyi district, falling debris caused a blast wave that damaged windows and doors in a first-floor apartment of a nine-story building. No fire or casualties were reported.

In the Holosiivskyi district, debris ignited garages, while in the Pecherskyi district a private home caught fire. Emergency crews extinguished all blazes, and the State Emergency Service later confirmed that the situation was fully under control.

Kharkiv

Kharkiv also came under heavy attack, with strikes recorded in the Slobidskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, and Saltivskyi districts.

According to regional authorities, at least 14 people were injured, including a seven-year-old boy. In the Shevchenkivskyi district, an apartment building facade and parked cars were damaged. In Saltivskyi district, a private home was destroyed, sparking a fire. Emergency crews are continuing response operations.

Kherson Region

In the Kherson region, five people were injured during the past day as Russian forces carried out drone attacks, airstrikes, and artillery shelling across more than 20 settlements, including Bilozerka, Antonivka, Beryslav, and the city of Kherson.

Authorities reported damage to three apartment buildings, 10 private houses, a gas pipeline, warehouse facilities, and vehicles.

Sumy Region

The Sumy region recorded more than 20 strikes across 11 settlements. A 57-year-old man was killed in a drone strike in the Velyka Pysarivka community.

Additional civilians were injured in previous attacks, and significant destruction was reported, including damaged homes, outbuildings, vehicles, and non-residential premises.

Poltava Region

In the Poltava region, nighttime strikes damaged facilities at an industrial enterprise in the Poltava district. Fires caused by the attack were extinguished.

In the Lubny district, debris damaged a private household and a power line, leaving more than 18,000 residential consumers and nearly 1,800 businesses without electricity. Power restoration efforts are ongoing. No casualties were reported.

Kryvyi Rih and Dnipropetrovsk Region

In Kryvyi Rih, a Shahed drone struck a five-story residential building, injuring two people, including an 82-year-old woman. The building sustained visible structural damage, with numerous shattered windows.

Across the Dnipropetrovsk region, nearly 20 additional attacks were recorded, damaging homes, vehicles, and solar panels in the Zelenodolsk community, as well as settlements in the Nikopol district.

Kirovohrad Region

In the Novoarkhanhelsk community of the Kirovohrad region, one person was injured in a drone strike. Five private homes sustained roof damage. Authorities are assessing the destruction and determining compensation for residents.

Zaporizhzhia Region

The Zaporizhzhia region experienced one of the heaviest assaults, with 720 strikes reported across 31 settlements. One person was killed and eight others were injured in attacks on Zaporizhzhia city and the Polohy district.

Russian forces launched missiles, conducted airstrikes, and deployed hundreds of drones, along with multiple rocket launcher and artillery attacks. Authorities received 137 reports of damage to homes, vehicles, and infrastructure facilities.
