In January 2026, units of the Unmanned Systems Forces eliminated more than 30,000 Russian servicemen.
All Russin forces losses have been verified — every strike is supported by video evidence in the DELTA system. At the end of the month, the SSU special unit “Alpha” became the leader in the number of Russian personnel neutralized.
After the record losses of Russian troops in December, their offensive potential declined in January. At the same time, Ukrainian drone units maintained a high level of effectiveness.
“Our strategic goal is 50,000 eliminated Russians per month. The fewer offensive forces the enemy has, the greater the safety for our infantrymen,” said Minister of Defense Mykhailo Fedorov.

In January, operators of interceptor drones also shot down a record number of Shahed-type UAVs. The highest effectiveness in this segment was demonstrated by the NEMESIS unit.
At the same time, the Defense Forces continue to increase the effectiveness of so-called “short-range” air defense systems and, together with international partners, are limiting the Russian ability to use Western technologies to attack Ukrainian territory.
A separate and important track is the robotization of dangerous tasks. More than 100 Defense Forces units are carrying out missions using ground robotic systems. In total, 7,495 GRS missions were conducted during the month — an average of 242 missions per day. The largest number of successful robotic operations in January was carried out by the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade.
