Venture investments in Ukrainian defense technologies reached $6.7 million in 2023 and about $129 million in 2025, representing growth of more than 19.2 times.

This is reported in the AVenture Dealbook.

Miltech has become the fastest-growing sector among Ukrainian startups. In 2024, investment volumes jumped 8.8 times to $59 million, and in 2025 they increased another 2.19 times.

The report notes that the actual investment volume may be significantly higher, as many miltech investments are classified for security reasons.

The average deal size in the miltech sector reached $2.1 million, five times higher than the 2024 average, while the number of deals fell by 22%.

Despite the sector’s novelty in the Ukrainian market, some companies are already profitable. Leaders include Skyeton, Antonov, Ukrspecsystems, Fire Point, Athlon Avia, SkyFall, Airlogix, and TAF Industries.

External investors accounted for 49% of the sector, with an additional 25% coming from joint investments by foreign and Ukrainian investors.
