Special forces of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the “Ghosts” unit, carried out successful strikes on the night of April 18–19 against two large landing ships of the aggressor state in temporarily occupied Crimea.

The targets were the large landing ship (LDS) of Project 775 “Yamal” and the LDS of Project 1171 “Nikolay Filchenkov.”

According to the Main Intelligence Directorate, at the time of the strike the Russian Black Sea Fleet vessels were located in Sevastopol Bay. Both ships, which Russia used in its illegal war against Ukraine, were disabled.
