Ukraine's Ministry of Defense has opened access to the Avengers Labs platform for Ukrainian defense companies, allowing them to train artificial intelligence models for unmanned systems using real battlefield data.
The platform was developed by the Defense Technology Innovation and Development Center, the team behind the DELTA battlefield management system.
Avengers Labs is built around an annotated dataset containing five million battlefield images. Most of the data comes directly from the DELTA combat system and is continuously updated with new material collected under real combat conditions.
The dataset includes a wide range of targets, including tanks, artillery systems, air defense systems, infantry, and aerial targets such as Shahed attack drones and reconnaissance UAVs.
According to the Ministry of Defense, access to Avengers Labs will significantly accelerate AI development, as assembling a dataset of comparable size and quality would be virtually impossible for private companies.
The platform has already been used to train an automated target detection system that has proven effective within DELTA. It analyzes more than 100,000 drone video streams every month.
During video processing, the AI system detects 70% of all Russian targets in real time, helping operators identify them both during the day and at night.
AI models trained on the Avengers dataset support several core operational scenarios. In one, an operator identifies a target while the drone independently adjusts its trajectory during the final stage of the mission. In another, an unmanned system is assigned an operational area, autonomously detects a target, and acts according to the mission's programmed logic.
These capabilities are gradually reducing dependence on continuous manual control while expanding the role of autonomous systems in combat.

Following the application review process, companies will receive feedback on the next steps required to gain full access to the capabilities of the Avengers Labs platform.
