A new cultural and educational initiative for Ukrainian refugees and diaspora members is set to launch in Hamburg at the end of May — a Ukrainian-language book club aimed at bringing people together through reading and the promotion of the Ukrainian language.

The initiative is announced on the Facebook page of Ukraїne Haus Hamburg.

Organizers describe the first meeting as an informal and welcoming gathering focused on open communication, building social connections in the city, and supporting Ukrainian culture and language abroad.

During the debut session, participants are expected to get acquainted, discuss the club’s format, decide on the frequency of meetings, and collectively choose the first fiction or non-fiction book for group reading and discussion.

The organizers emphasize that the club is open to everyone interested, regardless of age or prior reading experience.
