During the night of February 2 (from 18:00 on February 1), the Russian forcesmy launched an attack using an Iskander-M ballistic missile from the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, as well as 171 strike UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas types and other drones from the directions of Kursk, Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Millerovo (Russian Federation), and the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk. About 100 of them were Shahed drones.
The air attack was repelled by aircraft, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units and unmanned systems units, as well as mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data, as of 09:00, air defense forces had shot down or suppressed 157 UAVs of the Shahed and Gerbera types, as well as drones of other types, in the north, south, and east of the country.
Hits by a ballistic missile and 12 strike UAVs were recorded at eight locations.
