Ukraine’s No. 2-ranked player Marta Kostyuk won the Women’s Tennis Association tournament (WTA 250) in Rouen, with a prize fund of over $283,000.
In a historic all-Ukrainian WTA Tour final, the top-seeded 23-year-old Kostyuk (No. 28 in the WTA rankings) defeated 19-year-old Veronika Podrez (No. 209) in 1 hour and 20 minutes — 6:3, 6:4.
This is Marta’s second WTA title of her career. In March 2023, Kostyuk won her first title at a tournament in Austin.
For her part, Podrez became a WTA tournament finalist for the first time in her career.
