The Ukrainian freight market remains challenging due to attacks on vessels heading to the Odessa region ports. The number of large-tonnage cargo offers has declined, while there are virtually no vessels willing to undertake such voyages.

At the same time, the coaster shipping market from the Danube remains well supplied with cargo offers, although most are not firm. Nevertheless, tonnage for shipments from the Danube can still be found, voyages are being carried out, and freight rates continue to rise, albeit at a slower pace.
According to estimates by Atria Brokers’ freight department, the cost of shipping 6,000 tonnes of corn from Ukrainian Danube ports to Egypt is estimated at $66–68 per tonne, about $1 per tonne higher than last week.
