Ukraine’s air defense neutralizes 192 of 216 Russian drones in overnight attack

During the night of May 12 (starting from 18:00 on May 11), Russian forces attacked with 216 strike UAVs, including Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas drones, as well as “Parodiya” decoy drones launched from the directions of Bryansk, Shatalovo, Kursk, Millerovo, Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, as well as temporarily occupied Donetsk and Hvardiiske in temporarily occupied Crimea.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data as of 09:30, Ukrainian air defense had shot down or suppressed 192 Russian UAVs, including Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and “Parodiya” decoy drones, in the north, south, east, and center of the country.

Hits by 25 strike UAVs were recorded at 10 locations, while debris from downed drones fell at five locations.
