The Ministry for Development is launching a competitive selection of territorial communities to participate in the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026, which will take place on June 25–26 in Gdańsk.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction and Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Kuleba, the selection will be based on several criteria: experience in international cooperation, quality of strategic planning, investment readiness, anti-corruption work, and participation of communities in inter-municipal partnerships.
Territorial communities (one representative per community), associations of local self-government bodies, as well as international technical assistance projects and programmes can apply.
Applications will be accepted until May 14.
Participation in URC-2026 opens the way for communities to establish direct contacts with international financial organizations and donors, and also allows them to form long-term strategic alliances for sustainable territorial development.
“The conference in Gdańsk is an opportunity for communities that are ready to work systematically with international partners and attract resources for recovery,” Kuleba noted.
The International Conference on the Reconstruction of Ukraine (URC 2026) will take place on June 25–26 in Gdańsk this year, focusing on five main thematic areas. Delegations from 100 countries are expected to take part, including 40 at the governmental level.
