On the night of May 25 (starting from 5:30 p.m. on May 24), the Russian forces attacked with 262 strike UAVs of the Shahed type (including jet-powered variants), Gerbera, Italmas, and Parodiya decoy drones launched from the directions of Oryol, Kursk, Shatalovo, Bryansk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk in the Russian Federation, and Hvardiiske in the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data as of 08:00, air defense units shot down or suppressed 246 UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas types and other drones in the north, south, and east of the country.
Hits by 10 strike UAVs were recorded at 9 locations, while debris from downed drones fell at 7 locations.
