The Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are conducting an operation in the Oleksandrivka direction in the south, involving offensive actions, the command of this branch reported.

According to the command, the main objectives of the paratroopers are to disrupt Russian plans for further advancement in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions, destroy Russian groupings, and push them out of Dnipropetrovsk.

Despite active assaults by the Russian forces, the Air Assault units “repel all attacks and successfully carry out offensive operations,” the command noted.

“Overall, the situation can be described as very dynamic. The enemy clings to every meter of captured territory, using all available resources, both human and technical, but despite its fierce resistance, the units of the formation are accomplishing their objectives and step by step liberating our homeland,” the statement reads.

The Air Assault Forces report that since the start of the operation, the paratroopers, together with adjacent units, have cleared more than 300 square kilometers of territory from Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups and restored control over eight settlements.

However, as the active phase of the operation continues, it is “somewhat premature” to speak about its final results, the command emphasized.
