As of August 2026, specialists from Ukraine's Main Intelligence Directorate have identified 5,816 foreign-made components in 202 Russian weapons systems.
According to Main Intelligence Directorate, intelligence officers demonstrated samples of Western-made components recovered from Russian missiles and drones to Ukrainian diplomats.
The event was attended by Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, his deputies, and Ukrainian ambassadors serving abroad, who play an important role in strengthening international sanctions against the Russian Federation.
"Exposing and demonstrating the use of foreign technologies in Russia's weapons of terror is an essential part of monitoring compliance with sanctions," Intelligence Directorate said.

According to the intelligence agency, most of the electronic components used in Russian cruise and ballistic missiles, drones, and armored vehicles are manufactured abroad. Russia continues to obtain these components from Europe, Asia, and North America by circumventing international sanctions through gray-market supply chains and third countries.
Among the items presented to diplomats was a Jetson Orin microcomputer manufactured by the U.S. company Nvidia, recovered from Russia's latest S-71M Monokhrom cruise missile. Intelligence Agency also displayed an inertial navigation module containing components made by U.S.-based Texas Instruments and Japan's TDK Corporation, along with dozens of other foreign-made parts.


The exhibition also included a Geran-2 attack drone, as well as foreign components recovered from the Russian Geran Seeker unmanned aerial vehicle and the Banderol cruise missile.
Ukraine is continuing its systematic effort to identify the serial numbers of foreign-made components found in Russian missiles and drones used in attacks against the country. Hundreds of serial numbers linked to components manufactured by companies in partner countries have already been provided to those governments to support sanctions enforcement and export control measures.
