Ukraine has received more than a dozen Norwegian NASAMS systems and continues to receive them, along with missiles for them.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this in an interview with NRK News.
“The Norwegian NASAMS systems have helped us greatly. I will not name the exact number of NASAMS we have, but it is more than ten, and we continue to receive them. We have also received Norwegian-made missiles for NASAMS. However, even Norway’s domestic stockpiles were not sufficient. Then Norway worked with other countries at the political level to provide us with additional missiles. This was very important,” he said.
At the same time, the President noted that Ukraine was working on joint production and on IRIS-T systems.
“And it was like a wave: when one country became more active, other true allies, such as Norway, also stepped in. That was very good. This winter, Norway also helped us with gas that we needed after Russian strikes on our energy sector, including our gas infrastructure,” Zelenskyy emphasized.

According to him, the people of Norway support these decisions. All parties in parliament also support them.
“Thank you. Every country has its own domestic politics, but the unity of the Norwegian parliament regarding Ukraine is extremely important, and we appreciate it,” Zelenskyy said.
As the Head of State stressed,
“All these things, as well as the work on drones that we have begun, and the fact that Norway is the second-largest contributor to PURL — all of this is highly valued in Ukraine.”
