In the night of May 1, 2025, Russia launched a large-scale aerial attack on Ukraine using five Iskander-M ballistic missiles from Crimea, and 170 attack and decoy drones from areas including Kursk, Millerovo, Orel, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), and Chauda (Crimea).

Ukraine’s Defense Forces, using aircraft, air defense missile units, electronic warfare systems, and mobile fire groups, confirmed the downing of 74 Shahed-type drones by 08:30.

An additional 68 decoy drones were lost from radar without causing harm.

The regions of Odessa, Kharkiv, Sumy, Donetsk, and Kyiv sustained damage from the strikes.
