On the night of May 14, Russia launched a large-scale air assault on Ukraine using one Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missile from occupied Crimea, 145 Shahed-type attack drones, and various decoy UAVs from directions including Bryansk, Kursk, Oryol, Shatalovo, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.
Ukrainian air defence—including aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups—responded to the attack.
By 09:00, 80 Shahed drones had been confirmed shot down in eastern, northern, central, and western Ukraine.
An additional 42 decoy drones were lost from radar without causing damage.
Regions affected by the attack included Sumy, Kharkiv, Odessa, Donetsk, and Kirovohrad.
