Ukraine and Norway have agreed to jointly produce long-range 155 mm artillery shells.
This was announced by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
“Our soldiers on the front line — in virtually all combat brigades — are talking about long-caliber artillery, about long-range artillery shells. Kill zones are increasing, and the use of drones of all types remains a priority. But the soldiers themselves say that artillery is still needed, especially long-range artillery,” the head of state said.
According to Zelenskyy,
“we now have a new and very strong agreement with Norway: we will begin joint production of long-range 155 mm shells — exactly the kind of ammunition we need.”
Zelenskyy thanked Norway for what he called such an important and necessary step.
“Ukraine needs support every day. Air defense remains a priority no matter what happens — we are preparing to defend ourselves. We are providing our soldiers with everything they need,” the President added.
