Deputy Prime Minister for Recovery and Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksiy Kuleba and Bulgaria’s Minister of Transport and Communications Korman Ismailov discussed launching passenger rail service between the two countries.
“We are working on launching passenger rail service Ukraine–Bulgaria via Romania. The goal is a pilot launch this summer in a trilateral format. It is important to ensure a competitive offer through PSO,” the statement said.

During the meeting, the participants also discussed several other key issues, including the development of strategic transport corridors, the Danube cluster, and road infrastructure. According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the parties agreed to work on the functioning of a joint commission on road transport. They also addressed digital solutions, including the implementation of an electronic border queue system.
Cooperation on maritime safety in the Black Sea was also discussed. Ukraine expects to finalize an intergovernmental agreement on maritime search and rescue this year.
