On April 6, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleksandr Mishchenko received copies of credentials from the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Australia to Ukraine, Jeff Bowen.

Oleksandr Mishchenko congratulated the ambassador on the start of his diplomatic mission in Ukraine and expressed gratitude to the Government and people of Australia for their comprehensive assistance to Ukraine, which has totaled more than $1.2 billion.

In particular, the deputy minister thanked Australia for its military and humanitarian aid, as well as contributions to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund, and emphasized the importance of continuing and strengthening assistance to Ukraine.

 

 

Oleksandr Mishchenko called on the Australian side to support efforts to rebuild Ukraine, highlighting the importance of enhanced international coordination, attracting investment, and expert support.

The parties agreed to further intensify bilateral contacts and deepen trade, economic, and cultural-humanitarian cooperation.
