Sweden increases contribution to Ukraine Energy Support Fund to €259.5 million

Sweden’s total contribution to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund has increased to €259.5 million.

This was reported by the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.

“The Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) has allocated an additional 600,000,000 Swedish kronor (about €56.38 million) to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund. As a result, Sweden’s total contribution to the Fund has increased to €259.5 million,” the statement said.

The funds are expected to be used to support repairs and the restoration of facilities damaged by Russian attacks, the purchase of critically important equipment, and passive protection systems for energy infrastructure.

It is noted that since November 2025, the Ukraine Energy Support Fund has mobilized more than €582 million in confirmed contributions. In total, the Fund has received funds from 37 foreign donors.

At the same time, according to the latest estimates by the World Bank, the total needs of Ukraine’s energy sector for recovery amount to $90.6 billion.
