On the night of May 7, 2026, units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck a number of important Russian occupation targets, including hitting a small missile ship of Project 22800 “Karakurt” in the basing area of Kaspiysk in Dagestan.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“In the area of the basing point of Kaspiysk (Kaspiysk, Republic of Dagestan, Russian Federation), a multi-purpose small missile ship of Project 22800 ‘Karakurt’, which has capabilities to launch Kalibr cruise missiles, was hit,” the statement said.
The extent of the damage is being clarified.
It was also reported that Ukrainian forces struck a Russian command post in Sosnivka in Luhansk region, as well as a UAV command post in the area of Yasne in Donetsk region.
In addition, ammunition depots were hit in Kalmikivka and a fuel and lubricants storage facility in the Smolianynove area of Luhansk region.
Ukrainian forces also struck concentrations of Russian manpower in the areas of Dersove in Donetsk region and Smile in Zaporizhzhia region.
