The Security Service of Ukraine has detained another Russian agent in Odessa. On orders from the Russian forces, he was registering Starlink satellite terminals for armed groups of the aggressor country.
It was established that the agent’s task was carried out by a local warehouse worker recruited by the Russian forces. He came to the attention of Russian intelligence services while searching for “easy money” in Telegram channels.
In exchange for promises of “quick earnings,” the suspect first registered a Starlink terminal in his own name and handed over the relevant credentials to his Russian handler.
Later, the agent received instructions to involve as many people as possible in the illegal registration of new terminals.
It was documented that the suspect, under false pretenses, involved at least 12 of his acquaintances in registering Starlink terminals.
SSU officers gradually documented the illegal activity and detained him at his place of residence.

At the same time, all satellite communication systems previously registered by him were blocked.

During the search, investigators seized mobile phones used by the suspect to coordinate his subversive activities with the Russian forces.
Based on the collected evidence, SSU investigators served the agent with a notice of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 28 and Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed by prior conspiracy in wartime conditions). The suspect is in custody with no right to bail. He faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
