The Security Service exposed another Russian agent in Odessa. He was correcting Russian air attacks on the regional center. One of his main tasks was identifying the coordinates of local air defense positions.

SSU officers detained the suspect during counter-sabotage operations.

According to the case materials, the spotter turned out to be a local computer repair technician who was recruited by Russian intelligence services through TikTok. He came to their attention because of his pro-Kremlin views, which he had expressed on social media.

It was established that Russian operatives used a fake account of a foreign journalist to recruit him.

After receiving instructions from his handler, the agent began tracking the positions of anti-aircraft missile systems, radar stations, and mobile fire groups defending Odessa.

To do this, he traveled around the area on a moped and marked the coordinates of potential “targets” on Google Maps.

He stored the collected information on his smartphone for later transfer to his Russian handler via an anonymous chat in a popular messaging app.

It was also documented that he coordinated his actions with the Russian operative using both text and voice messages.

During the search, investigators seized his mobile phone containing evidence of cooperation with the Rssian forces.

SSU investigators have notified the agent of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (treason committed under martial law). He is currently in custody and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
