Prices for milling and feed wheat in Ukraine remained unchanged over the past week at $185 and $175 per tonne, respectively, on a CPT Odessa basis, brokerage company Spike Brokers reported in its weekly market review.
According to the broker, Ukraine exported around 612,700 tonnes of wheat in August. The largest destinations were Spain with 118,200 tonnes, Egypt with 116,100 tonnes, and Algeria with 78,100 tonnes. These three countries accounted for around 51% of Ukraine’s wheat exports in August.
From September 1 to 3, Ukraine exported around 116,800 tonnes of wheat, or almost 39,000 tonnes per day, compared with an average of around 20,000 tonnes per day in August. Export destinations included Tunisia, Egypt, Indonesia and Israel.
Corn prices also remained unchanged over the week, standing at $185 per tonne on a CPT Odessa basis and $225 per tonne FCA Chop.
Ukraine exported around 300,000 tonnes of corn in August. During the first three days of September, corn exports reached around 69,200 tonnes. The main destinations were Italy, Turkey, Germany and the Netherlands.
