In the Kherson region, three people were killed and four others injured during the day as a result of Russian shelling, the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported on Telegram.
“Under the procedural guidance of the Kherson regional prosecutor’s office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into alleged war crimes,” the statement reads.
According to investigators, on February 4, 2026, Russian forces struck populated areas in the Kherson region using artillery and drones.
As of 5:30 p.m., three civilians had died and four were injured due to Russian aggression.
- Around 7:00 a.m., Russian forces carried out a combined strike in the city of Beryslav, hitting a minibus with artillery and a drone, injuring the driver. At 2:30 p.m. in the same town, a civilian was killed when an FPV drone was directed at them.
- In Oleksandrivka, Stanislavska community, around 9:45 a.m., Russian forces targeted a car serving the local paramedic and obstetric station with an FPV drone. A staff member was killed, and the driver was injured.
- In the morning, artillery fire in the outskirts of Kherson killed a man who was on the street, and another person was injured in the city center by explosives dropped from a drone.
- In the evening, in the village of Ukrainska, a drone-delivered explosive injured one person.
Private homes, trolleybuses, and cars were also damaged.
