In Odessa, as a result of a massive Russian strike during the night of April 6, three people were killed, including a child.
This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. During the night, the Russian forces launched a massive attack on Odessa. Residential buildings, infrastructure facilities, and administrative buildings in the Kyivskyi and Prymorskyi districts of the city came under attack.
Numerous hits caused large-scale fires. Significant destruction and damage to buildings and vehicles were also recorded.
According to preliminary information, three people were killed, including a child. Fifteen people were injured, including a child. This was announced by the head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, Oleh Kiper.
“As a result of the nighttime attack on Odessa, unfortunately, it is known that 3 people were killed and at least 15 were injured, 13 of whom have been hospitalized. Among the dead are a 30-year-old woman and her young daughter, who was only 2.6 years old, as well as another 53-year-old woman. My sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims,” he said.


According to Kiper, 15 civilians sustained injuries of varying severity, including a pregnant woman and two children: a 7-month-old boy and a 2-year-old girl.
The injured suffered shrapnel wounds, burns, trauma, and smoke inhalation.
“Some people are in serious condition. Doctors assess the condition of the children as moderate. All the injured are receiving the necessary medical care. Information on the number of victims is being clarified,” the head of the regional administration added. Firefighters rescued four people, including a child.


Despite repeated air raid alerts, rescuers managed to extinguish all fires.
Emergency rescue operations are ongoing, and people may still be trapped under the rubble. Psychologists from the State Emergency Service and the National Police are working at the scene.
