On the night of May 5, Russian forces carried out a massive strike on Naftogaz Group facilities in the Poltava and Kharkiv regions, resulting in fatalities and injuries.

This was reported by the company’s press service.

“During the night of May 4–5, Russian troops launched a large-scale attack on Naftogaz Group facilities. Gas production enterprises in the Poltava and Kharkiv regions came under fire. The enemy used a combined tactic — drones and ballistic missiles,” the statement said.

The attack caused significant destruction and a loss of gas production.

“Most painful of all — there are losses among our colleagues. Three Naftogaz Group employees and two State Emergency Service rescuers were killed, and 37 people were injured. My sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims,” said Naftogaz CEO Serhii Koretskyi.

Those injured are receiving the necessary medical assistance. All relevant services are working at the attack sites. As soon as the security situation allows, specialists will begin assessing the damage and carrying out restoration work.
