On the night of April 17, Russian forces attacked the port in Izmail, causing damage.
This was reported by the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development.
“During the night, Russia once again attacked port infrastructure in the Odessa region. In Izmail, UAV strikes were recorded on the port territory. Administrative and industrial buildings, as well as railway infrastructure facilities, were damaged. Fires broke out but were promptly extinguished by rescuers,” the statement said.
According to the ministry, no one was injured. Relevant services are working at the scene.
The Ministry for Communities and Territories Development emphasized that attacks on the region’s port infrastructure have been ongoing for several consecutive days. Despite this, the ports continue to operate and ensure global food security.
